A message from Dr Daniel Hedwat

It is with sadness that I am announcing my departure from Urban Village Medical Practice.

I have been a GP at UVMP for 16 years, joining in 2006 as a trainee GP under the guidance of my teacher and mentor, Dr. Gerry O’ Shea, staying on to be a salaried GP, and becoming a GP Partner at the practice in 2015.

It has always been an honour to serve the families of Ancoats, Miles Platting, Collyhurst  and the wider North Manchester area in my time at the practice. I have always  done my utmost to offer the best care possible to all of my patients in the time I have served here, and I do hope I have made a real difference to the health and wellbeing of at least some of the thousands of amazing people that I have met in that time.

I have also been fortunate to have worked with a fantastic collection of staff, both clinical and non clinical, who were an inspiration to me and shared my goal in giving patient care which is second to none. These people I hold in the highest regard, both as work colleagues and life long friends.

I will take so many happy memories of my time at UVMP with me for many years to come.

I wish all my patients the very best for the future, and am grateful for to all the words of support and good will which I have received from so many of them on announcing my departure,

 best wishes,

 Daniel Hedwat
