Pride in Practice is a service provided by The Lesbian & Gay Foundation to GP practices to support improvements in health outcomes for their lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) patients, as well as strengthen their engagement with, and understanding of, that community. Urban Village Medical Practice believes in fairness and equality, and above all, values diversity. All staff have ongoing equality and diversity training, and our equality and diversity policies are reviewed annually. We acknowledge that Trans patients may not be invited to routine screenings and can miss out on important health checks. Please ask the doctor or nurse to see if you’re due a screening and book an appointment to discuss how we can make your screening most comfortable for you. If you would like further help or support, please follow the link to the LGBT website.
