Family planning at the surgery
The surgery offers appointments to discuss and provide various long acting contraceptives, these include the fitting and removal of:
– Non-hormonal Coil (IUD)
– Hormonal Coil (IUD – Mirena or Kyleena)
– Implant
We provide the above options for patients who are registered with the surgery or any other surgery in Manchester.
If you require an appointment you can send a request online via our website – Please include what you require, your address and your GP if you are not registered with the practice.
We will arrange for you to have an appointment over the phone with a GP initially who will discuss your chosen method with you, check it is appropriate for you, explain the procedure and book an appointment for you to attend.
The clinics to fit or remove coils and implants are held on a Tuesday afternoon and a Wednesday morning.
