    Ancoats Visual Arts group is a group run by local people for local people. The group gets involved in local projects that matter to them and work on a variety of different creative visual arts projects. The group is hosted and supported by Creative Art Courses at Hope Mill, Pollard Street.

  • Ancoats Community Choir

    The Hallé runs a Community Choir in the heart of Ancoats. There are no auditions and there is no need to read music or any booking required. It is open to adults of all ages aged 18+.

  • Ancoats Canal Project

    The Ancoats Canal Project consists of a group of residents, working in partnership with the Canal and River Trust to make more of the Rochdale and Ashton canals that run through Ancoats into the Northern Quarter. They hold monthly events to clean up the canals, publicise their history and encourage people to use and enjoy them.

  • Royal Voluntary Service

    The Virtual Village Hall is a free online activity hub and community. It’s designed by the charity, Royal Voluntary Service, to help people stay mentally and physically active, socially connected and having fun. It supports people to better manage their health, including long-term health conditions and healthy ageing.
