Long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) offers the highest level of contraceptive effectiveness and provides reliable protection for between 3 and 10 years, depending on the option selected. These methods are available free of charge through the NHS.
At our practice, our experienced clinical team will discuss your options with you and help you decide which method best fits your health needs and lifestyle. We provide insertion, removal, and ongoing care in a supportive, confidential, and comfortable setting.
The practice offers appointments to discuss and provide various long acting reversible contraceptives, these include the fitting and removal of:
- Non-hormonal Coil (IUD)
- Hormonal Coil (IUD – Mirena or Kyleena)
- Implant
Please complete the form to book a consultation regarding Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC). In your enquiry, please include that you wish to discuss LARC, along with details of your registered GP, if you are not registered with our practice.
Once your enquiry has been submitted, one of our Patient Services Advisors will send you a questionnaire to complete prior to a consultation being booked.
We will then arrange for you to have a telephone appointment with a clinician initially who will discuss your chosen method with you, check it is appropriate for you, explain the procedure and book an appointment for you to attend at our practice.
